Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Associate, Server Administration to join our dynamic IT team. This role demands a deep understanding of Microsoft server technologies, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, capable of leading complex projects, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the stability and security of our critical IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced Microsoft Server Administration:
  • Design, implement, and manage complex Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Develop and maintain server infrastructure standards and best practices.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for server infrastructure.
• Expert Microsoft 365 Administration:
  • Architect and manage large-scale Microsoft 365 deployments, including Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
  • Develop and implement advanced security and compliance policies for Microsoft 365.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Automate Microsoft 365 administration tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Active Directory Enterprise Management:
  • Design and implement multi-domain Active Directory environments.
  • Develop and implement advanced Group Policy strategies.
  • Manage complex Active Directory replication and security configurations.
  • Lead Active Directory migration and upgrade projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Exchange Administration:
  • Design and manage high-availability Exchange Server environments (or Exchange Online).
  • Implement advanced email security and compliance solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex Exchange Server issues and performance problems.
  • Manage hybrid exchange environments.
• Advanced Virtualization Administration (Nutanix & VMware):
  • Architect and manage large-scale Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere environments.
  • Develop and implement virtualization best practices and standards.
  • Lead virtualization migration and upgrade projects.
  • Optimize Virtual infrastructure for performance and redundancy.
• Enterprise Endpoint Management (SCCM & Windows Update):
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide SCCM and Windows Update strategies.
  • Develop and implement advanced software deployment and patch management solutions.
  • Automate endpoint management tasks using scripting and other tools.
  • Lead SCCM upgrade and migration projects.
• Project Management and Leadership:
  • Lead and manage complex IT projects related to server infrastructure and endpoint management.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in IT strategic planning and decision-making.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for all server and endpoint infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8-12 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and virtualization.
• Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
• Extensive experience with Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere virtualization platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of SCCM and Windows Update management.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, VCP, ITIL) are highly desirable.
• Experience with powershell scripting and automation.
