IT Governance Lead

Key responsibilities

• Continually Assess company against SAMA’s IT Governance Framework
• Aid in the creation of the IT Department [Team definitions, Roles, Structures, Forums]
• Aid in the assistance of creating strategic OKRs and KPIs for the Technology Department
• Aid in the integration / embedding of IT Governance controls into the company
• Aid in defining responses to the regulator on various observations or Technical questions

Core Responsibilities:

The core responsibility of the IT Governance Lead will inherently be linked to Policies, Procedures and Frameworks that the company has approved for adherence. Therefore, the responsibilities for this roles will include [but not limited to] the following:

• Assess Information Technology Governance controls 
• Assess Information Technology Strategy Adherence 
• Assess whether the Enterprise Architecture is being managed
• Assess adherence to Information Technology Policy and Procedures
• Assess controls related to IT Roles and Responsibilities
• Assess Regulatory Compliance 
• Assess the company is ensuring that the technology Department are hiring competent staff and are offering Training where appropriate. The role also asks to check that there are no Conflict of interest in the Tech Department and there is a clear Segregation of duties
• Assess that the company is doing Performance Management and have KPIs for the Technology Department to follow and verify if the company is following its IT Strategy
• Ensure that the Technology Department are aligning t0 Risk Controls and in particular are (1) Managing IT Risks, (2) Performing Risk Identification and Analysis, (3) Applying Risk Treatments and (4) are doing Risk Reporting, Monitoring, and Profiling.

 EXPERIENCE:
10 to 15 years IT Experience
5 years + Experience within Financial Institutions

Essential SKILLS:
• Strong knowledge of technology regulatory requirements in the KSA & Middle East
• Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, technology and products
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks
• Ability to define IT Strategies
• Defining IT Organizations
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong logical, problem solving and analytical skills

 Certifications:
• [Mandatory] BSc or MSc in Computer Science
• [Mandatory] Togaf Certified
• [Mandatory] Cloud Certified [AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba]
• [Optional ] ITIL
