Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Server Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role will be crucial in maintaining and optimizing our Microsoft server environment, Microsoft 365 services, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, virtualization concepts, and demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced Microsoft Server Administration:
  • Design, implement, and manage complex Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Optimize server performance, implement advanced troubleshooting techniques, and ensure high availability.
  • Develop and enforce server security policies and best practices.
  • Plan and execute complex server migrations and upgrades.
• Comprehensive Microsoft 365 Administration:
  • Architect and manage advanced configurations of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
  • Develop and implement advanced security and compliance policies within Microsoft 365.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 services.
  • Automation of Microsoft 365 tasks using Powershell.
• Advanced Active Directory Management:
  • Design and implement complex Active Directory structures, including multi-domain and multi-forest environments.
  • Develop and implement advanced Group Policy strategies.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of Active Directory replication, authentication, and security issues.
  • Manage and implement AD certificate services.
• Expert Microsoft Exchange Administration:
  • Design, implement, and manage complex Exchange Server environments (or Exchange Online), including hybrid deployments.
  • Implement advanced email security and compliance measures.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of email delivery, client connectivity, and performance issues.
  • Manage and implement Exchange DAGs.
• Advanced Virtualization Management (Nutanix & VMware):
  • Design, implement, and manage highly available Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere environments.
  • Implement advanced virtualization features, such as storage vMotion, DRS, and HA.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning and capacity planning for virtualization environments.
  • Nutanix AHV management.
• Advanced Endpoint Management (SCCM & Windows Update):
  • Design and implement complex SCCM infrastructure for software deployment, patching, and configuration management.
  • Develop and implement advanced software deployment strategies and automation.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of SCCM and Windows Update issues.
  • Develop and implement custom SCCM reports.
• Documentation, Reporting, and Automation:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of complex systems and configurations.
  • Generate detailed reports on system performance, availability, and security.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
• Incident Management and Problem Resolution:
  • Lead the resolution of complex incidents and problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide expert-level support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  
• 5-8 years of experience in server administration, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies and virtualization.
• Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune).
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
• Extensive experience with Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere virtualization platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of SCCM and Windows Update management.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell).
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, VCP, Nutanix NCP) are highly desirable.
