Associate - Security Operations (m/f/d)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Security Operations Engineer to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network security principles and hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including Proofpoint, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint proxy, and Juniper SRX firewalls. This role will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's data.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
  • Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools, including Proofpoint, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint proxy, and Juniper SRX firewalls.
  • Analyze security logs and identify potential security incidents.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Document security incidents and response actions.
  • Participate in security incident post-mortem analysis.
  • Security Tool Management:
  • Configure and maintain Proofpoint email security solutions, including threat detection and prevention.
  • Manage and administer Forescout NAC to ensure network access control and device compliance.
  • Configure and maintain Forcepoint web proxy to enforce web security policies and filter malicious content.
  • Manage and administer Juniper SRX firewalls, including policy configuration, rule management, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of security tools.
  • Network Security Administration:
  • Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity.
  • Troubleshoot network security issues.
  • Participate in network security design and implementation projects.
  • Security Reporting and Documentation:
  • Generate security reports and metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security configurations and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of security awareness training materials.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
  • Communicate security issues and recommendations to management.
  • Participate in security meetings and discussions.
  • Optional:
  • Aruba Clearpass policy configuration, and troubleshooting.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    • Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies.
    • Hands-on experience with Proofpoint email security solutions.
    • Hands-on experience with Forescout NAC.
    • Hands-on experience with Forcepoint web proxy.
    • Hands-on experience with Juniper SRX firewalls.
    • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Optional: experience with Aruba ClearPass.
    • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are a plus.
