Analyst - Server Admin (m/f/d)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our Microsoft server environment, Microsoft 365 services, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, virtualization concepts, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Server Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022).
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability.
- Implement and manage server security best practices.
- Perform regular server backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Manage and support Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
- Configure and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions within Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
- Manage and deploy Intune policies for device management.
- Active Directory Administration:
- Manage and maintain Active Directory domains, forests, and sites.
- Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory replication and authentication issues.
- Manage DNS and DHCP servers.
- Microsoft Exchange Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server (or Exchange Online).
- Manage mailbox databases, transport rules, and email security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve email delivery and client connectivity issues.
- Virtualization Administration (Nutanix & VMware):
- Install, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere environments.
- Provision and manage virtual machines (VMs).
- Monitor virtualization performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform VM migrations and upgrades.
- Endpoint Management (SCCM & Windows Update):
- Deploy and manage software updates using SCCM and Windows Update Manager.
- Create and deploy software packages and applications via SCCM.
- Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint management issues.
- Maintain client health and compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate reports on system performance and availability.
- Participate in creating and maintaining knowledge base articles.
- Incident Management:
- Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and virtualization.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune).
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
- Experience with Nutanix HCI and/or VMware vSphere virtualization platforms.
- Experience with SCCM and Windows Update management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, VCP) are a plus.
