Analyst - Security Operations (m/f/d)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Analyst, Security Operations to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in security operations, with hands-on experience managing and monitoring security tools and infrastructure. This role will focus on maintaining the security posture of our network and systems, responding to security incidents, and contributing to the overall security strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
  • Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools, including Proofpoint, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint proxy, and Juniper SRX firewalls.
  • Analyze security logs and identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to security incidents according to established procedures.
  • Document security incidents and provide detailed reports.
  • Participate in security investigations and forensics activities.
  • Security Tool Management:
  • Configure and maintain security tools, including Proofpoint, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint proxy, and Juniper SRX firewalls.
  • Develop and implement security policies and rules within these tools.
  • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Ensure security tools are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Network Security:
  • Monitor and manage Juniper SRX firewalls to ensure network security.
  • Analyze firewall logs and identify potential security threats.
  • Implement and maintain network access control policies.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of secure network architectures.
  • Endpoint Security:
  • Work with Forescout NAC to manage network access control and endpoint security.
  • Work with Forcepoint proxy to enforce web filtering and secure internet access.
  • Email Security:
  • Monitor and manage Proofpoint email security solutions.
  • Analyze email security logs and identify phishing and malware threats.
  • Implement and maintain email security policies.
  • Optional: Aruba ClearPass:
  • Configure and maintain Aruba ClearPass for network access control (if applicable).
  • Implement and manage wireless security policies.
  • Troubleshoot ClearPass related issues.
  • Security Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare security reports and metrics for management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security procedures and configurations.
  • Contribute to the development of security awareness training materials.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems and processes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security issues and incidents.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 2-5 years of experience in security operations.
    • Hands-on experience with Proofpoint, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint proxy, and Juniper SRX firewalls.
    • Strong understanding of network security concepts and protocols.
    • Experience with security incident response and threat analysis.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
