Are you a seasoned developer ready to tackle exciting challenges? We’re looking for a Senior Developer to join our team and help us build innovative solutions around the Vereycken & Vereycken UL3 Policy Administration System. Your expertise will shape the future of our applications and elevate our development practices.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Developer, reporting to the Application Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in:
• Designing Solutions: Conduct feasibility studies, collaborate on functional analyses, and document solutions to guide the development process.
• Driving Development Standards: Establish and improve team-wide development practices.
• Building Applications: Develop, maintain, and enhance internal tools and reporting solutions that integrate seamlessly with external databases (XML, CSV, etc.).
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with architects, infrastructure colleagues, and operations teams to deliver secure and optimized solutions.
• Innovating Processes: Support Agile workflows, contribute to SDLC improvements, and coordinate efforts with Group IT.
Your Profile
You’re the ideal candidate if you have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development in an OO context, with API development exposure.
• Proficiency in full-stack development with a large experience with Python or VBScript.
• Expertise in SDLC, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform and reporting tools.
• Fluency in French or Dutch, and strong English communication skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the Vereycken & Vereycken UL3 platform.
• Industry experience in Life Insurance is a strong plus.
