A high growth Fintech start up have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team based in Dubai, UAE.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintaining books of accounts and ensuring that accounting transactions are recorded in line with International Accounting Standards (IAS).
• Preparation of month end journals and monitoring month end accruals and closing entries.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and postings.
• Provide month end and year-end financial analysis and explanations to key information and data resulting from variances to different balances.
• Support preparation of budgeting & forecasting submissions.
• Drive improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organisations strategy.

Your Qualifications

• An Accounting or Finance degree with a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA) preferred, but not essential.
• Ideally have 5-7 years' experience in a high growth startup environment.
• Strong understanding of financial terminology, banking transactions, VAT, IFRS and accounting principles
• Strong experience in automating finance systems and processes.
• Excellent communicator with confidence in interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders
