About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Network Engineerto join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructures 1 within our cloud environments. You will leverage your deep understanding of both traditional and cloud networking technologies to ensure seamless connectivity, robust security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), hybrid cloud connectivity, migration projects, and advanced security solutions like F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto, and FortiGate.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Network Design & Implementation: Architect, configure, and manage complex cloud-based networks in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Hybrid Cloud Connectivity: Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
  • Cloud Security Management: Manage and optimize cloud security solutions, including Palo Alto, FortiGate, F5 BIG-IP, FortiProxy, and cloud-native security services (e.g., Cloud Armor).
  • DNS Management: Implement and manage DNS technologies and cloud DNS services (e.g., GCP DNS), including DNS resolution, and cloud-based DNS services.
  • Cloud Migration Projects: Lead and execute cloud migration projects, including the transition of network services, infrastructure, and DNS from on-premise to cloud platforms or between cloud providers.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform to automate cloud networking and security configurations.
  • Cloud Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement and utilize cloud monitoring and troubleshooting tools to ensure optimal performance and availability across cloud-based network systems.
  • Cloud-Native Services: Develop a strong working knowledge of cloud-native services and architecture patterns, including load balancing, failover, and auto-scaling within cloud platforms.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing clear and concise communication.
  • Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize network performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on cloud networking (at least 3+ years of experience working within Google Cloud, or similar cloud environments).
  • Extensive experience in cloud-based networking solutions and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Strong proficiency in managing cloud security solutions such as Palo Alto, FortiGate, and F5, specifically in cloud environments native solutions.
  • Expertise in DNS technologies and cloud DNS management, including DNS resolution, and cloud-based DNS services like GCP DNS.
  • Solid experience working on cloud migration projects, including the transition of network services, infrastructure, and DNS.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, to automate cloud networking and security configurations.
  • Proven ability to architect, configure, and manage complex cloud-based networks with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Expertise in cloud monitoring and troubleshooting tools to ensure optimal performance and availability across cloud-based network systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud-native services and architecture patterns, including load balancing, failover, and auto-scaling within cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with key stakeholders.
