A leading institution in the financial sector offering a broad range of services, including investment, corporate, and private banking, as well as asset management. The organization is currently seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to join their team and drive its compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Compliance Oversight: Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, sanctions, and financial crime laws applicable to the organization's operations.
• Regulatory Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, transparent, and proactive relationships with regulatory authorities, managing inquiries, inspections, and reporting obligations.
• Risk Management and Framework Development: Oversee the development and management of the compliance risk management framework, conducting regular risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance-related risks.
• Policy and Process Enhancement: Lead the review and enhancement of internal compliance policies and procedures, implementing best practices in compliance and governance.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the compliance team, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities, and collaborate with other departments to ensure an integrated approach to compliance and risk management.
• Monitor and Report: Provide regular updates and reports to the board and senior management on compliance matters, including potential risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in compliance, with a strong background in the financial sector.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and the ability to promote a culture of integrity within the organization.
