Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Endpoint Engineer specializing in macOS to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing all macOS endpoints within our organization. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations, enhancing user experience, and implementing best practices for macOS management and security.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain macOS endpoint environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Deploy and configure macOS devices using endpoint management solutions such as Jamf Pro.
• Implement and manage endpoint security measures, including antivirus solutions and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
• Utilize System Integrity Protection (SIP), XProtect, and System Firewall to enhance the security posture of macOS devices.
• Configure and maintain VPN filtering to secure remote connections and protect sensitive data.
• Implement and manage conditional access policies for macOS devices to ensure secure access to corporate resources.
• Collaborate with identity and access management teams to enforce security requirements based on device compliance.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for macOS-related issues, including SMC resets and performance optimizations.
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper setup and adherence to security protocols.
• Manage and enforce drive encryption policies to safeguard sensitive data on macOS devices.
• Plan and execute regular patching and software updates for macOS devices, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Test updates in a controlled environment to minimize disruption.
• Monitor system performance and user experience, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Analyze endpoint performance metrics to drive enhancements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for macOS configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate users on best practices for using macOS devices.
• Work closely with IT security, network, and application teams to ensure integrated endpoint management.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software support and procurement.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in endpoint management with a focus on macOS.
• Proven track record in managing macOS environments in enterprise settings.
• Strong knowledge of macOS operating systems, security protocols, and endpoint management tools, particularly Jamf Pro.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or AppleScript) for automation and integration tasks.
• Extensive experience with endpoint security measures, including antivirus solutions, EDR, and conditional access implementation.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional, Jamf Certified Technician) are a plus.
