We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Java and WebLogic to support critical operations for our client in Strasbourg. As the Onsite Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application support at the client’s premises. This role requires a proactive approach, flexibility, and dedication to resolving incidents in a 24/7 service environment.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar context is required, with additional WebLogic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end support for customer applications, including WebLogic environments.
- Analyze and resolve incidents related to both Java applications and WebLogic, offering permanent solutions or workarounds to restore service operations.
- Manage WebLogic server performance, troubleshooting, and configuration management.
- Create problem reports and change requests linked to incidents to enhance system functionality.
- Collaborate closely with the customer during incident reviews and provide continuous communication.
- Participate in on-call/standby duties as required for high-priority incidents.
- Be available for out-of-business hours duties to meet operational requirements.
Technical Skills Required:
- Expertise in WebLogic administration and support, including installation, configuration, and tuning.
- Java expertise for development and application support.
- Basic skills in ANSIBLE for automation tasks.
- Basic knowledge of Linux RHEL & system infrastructure.
- Oracle skills are a plus, especially for database integration with WebLogic.
Non-Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of the ITIL framework for managing service delivery.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage workloads efficiently.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while focusing on customer satisfaction and meeting SLA commitments.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements:
- EU citizenship is required.
- Availability to obtain EU Security Clearance.
- This role is fully onsite in Strasbourg; remote work is not an option.
