IT infrastructure migration project manager (m/f/d)

Job Summary:
Our company is potentially relocating its headquarters to a new building, and we are seeking a highly organized Project Manager to oversee the procurement, contracting, and implementation of IT equipment and infrastructure for this transition. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful acquisition, deployment, and follow-up of IT-related systems, including network infrastructure, TVs, audio conferencing systems, and printing systems. The Project Manager will also plan and coordinate the relocation of employees and their IT equipment to the new location, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Contracting: Define requirements, conduct market research, manage RFP processes, and ensure alignment with company policies and budgets.
  • Project Management & Implementation: Develop project timelines and budgets, coordinate with teams and vendors, oversee deployment of IT systems, and mitigate project risks.
  • Relocation Planning & Execution: Develop relocation strategies, coordinate workstation setups, and ensure efficient transfer of IT infrastructure and user hardware.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main contact for vendors, maintain stakeholder relationships, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Post-Implementation Support & Optimization: Oversee testing and quality assurance, provide system optimization recommendations, develop documentation and training materials, and track equipment lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT project management, procurement, or infrastructure deployment.
  • Strong understanding of networking, AV systems, and printing solutions.
  • Experience managing vendor contracts, RFPs, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and budgeting best practices.
