Our Client:

Our client are seeking a highly experienced Director of Marketing & Communications to join their team in Riyadh, KSA. This Director will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to foster business-to-stakeholder relationships.

This Director will serve as the custodian for all internal and external communication activities, including media communication, public relations, digital marketing, crisis management, thought leadership, stakeholder mapping, new market entry strategies, content creation, production of materials, events management, data analysis, team, and agency management.


Your Responsibilities:

Communications Ecosystem:

  • Build and oversee a fully integrated communications strategy and ecosystem that supports the company’s vision and business objectives.

  • Ensure cohesive messaging across all internal and external communication channels.

  • Develop and manage communication touchpoints, including PR, events, and stakeholder engagement, to maximize impact and reach.

  • Maintain a consistent voice and narrative that reinforces the company’s position as an industry leader.

Digital Communications:

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of the company website to ensure it serves as a dynamic and user-friendly platform for stakeholders.

  • Drive digital content strategies, including SEO, SEM, and analytics to enhance visibility and engagement.

  • Manage the company’s social media presence across platforms, aligning with the overall communication strategy.

  • Leverage digital tools and platforms for innovative outreach campaigns and audience engagement.

  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement digital enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues.

Content Creation and Material Production:

  • Conceptualize, develop, and guide the creation of all communication assets, including presentations, videos, infographics, media kits, and digital content.

  • Ensure alignment of assets with the company’s overall branding and communication strategy.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality, impactful materials that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Oversee end-to-end production workflows, ensuring timeliness and adherence to quality standards.

Stakeholder Mapping and New Market Entry Strategies:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder mapping to identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Lead the creation and execution of communication strategies for entering new markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and local market dynamics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and impactful market entry, tailoring messaging to resonate with regional audiences.

  • Establish relationships with local media, government bodies, and industry influencers to support successful market integration.

Crisis Management:

  • Establish a robust crisis communication framework to address unforeseen situations effectively.

  • Act as the point of contact for crisis-related communications, ensuring accurate and timely messaging.

  • Train senior teams and  staff to manage crises through simulations and best practices.

Data Analytics:

  • Establish KPIs to assess the success of communication strategies.

  • Leverage analytics tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and improve campaigns.

  • Prepare detailed reports and insights to guide strategic decisions.

Internal Communications:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Provide strategic support to the Talent team for career fairs, online recruitment platforms, and other talent acquisition initiatives by supplying branded communication materials such as brochures, videos, and presentations.

  • Support HR efforts to enhance internal alignment by ensuring communication materials reflect the organization’s culture and values.

Public Relations:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with media outlets to secure favorable coverage and enhance the company’s public image.

  • Act as the company’s key media liaison and prepare leadership for media interactions.

  • Plan and oversee press conferences, media briefings, and other media-focused events.

  • Manage the development and distribution of press releases, op-eds, and news stories.

Communication Programs:

  • Design and execute communication programs tailored to stakeholders, including customers, investors, and the community.

  • Create campaigns that align with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring consistent messaging.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with industry organizations and influencers to amplify messaging.

Thought Leadership:

  • Position the company as a thought leader in its industry by creating impactful whitepapers, articles, and reports on emerging trends and innovations.

  • Identify opportunities for leadership participation in high-profile industry events, panels, and speaking engagements.

  • Collaborate with internal experts to create insightful content that showcases the company’s expertise and vision.

  • Promote thought leadership initiatives through digital and traditional media channels to increase visibility and influence.

Events Management:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage key events, including exhibitions, inaugurations, and industry visits.

  • Facilitate staff participation in industry events to enhance the company's brand and stakeholder outreach.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for marketing and communications.

  • Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective execution of all activities.

Function Management:

  • Build and lead the communications team, ensuring professional development and high performance.

  • Drive manpower planning, recruitment, and employee engagement within the team.

Your Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, or Marketing from a reputable institution.

  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in the communications field, with expertise in strategic internal and external communications, digital marketing, event management, reputation management, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership.

  • Exceptional Writing and Creativity: Proven expertise in crafting compelling content for diverse platforms and developing innovative campaigns aligned with brand identity.

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Skilled in aligning communication strategies with business goals, leveraging data analytics to measure and optimize campaign performance.

  • Digital Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of digital platforms, SEO, social media algorithms, and content creation tools, including website management.

  • Crisis and Media Management: Strong ability to strategize and execute crisis communication plans, manage high-profile media interactions, and secure favorable coverage.

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Experienced in building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and engaging stakeholders, including C-suite executives.

  • Project Execution Under Pressure: Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, tight deadlines, and high-stakes situations efficiently.

  • Market Entry Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement communication strategies tailored for new markets.

  • Industry Insight: In-depth knowledge of energy, infrastructure, and digital industries, including trends and regulatory frameworks.
  • Preferred industry experience: Energy, digital infrastructure, or related sectors.
