Role Overview:
This position involves a variety of consulting responsibilities, including:
- Conducting security threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to establish security strategies.
- Developing comprehensive security master plans, early concepts, and design guidelines.
- Designing and detailing both physical and technical security solutions, with clear articulation of equipment requirements and performance specifications.
- Performing technical security reviews, audits, design assessments, and installation inspections and approvals.
- Working alongside specialist engineers within project design teams from other organizations.
- Participating in and contributing to client and cross-discipline meetings as needed.
- Serving as a trusted advisor, handling client requests promptly and effectively, and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Assisting in the project management of security initiatives, including commercial aspects.
- Occasionally traveling to client sites across the region as required.
- Showing interest in business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to client proposals.
Experience Requirements:
- Over 6 years of experience delivering consultancy engagements for high-profile clients, such as semi-government and government entities, master developers, architects, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies, oil & gas, transportation, and critical national infrastructure.
- Skilled in providing physical and electronic security design consulting aligned with RIBA Plan of Work stages.
- Proficient in implementing security design principles like CPTED, Defence in Depth, Secured by Design, and other international safety and security guidelines.
- Strong technical expertise in physical and electronic security solutions, including development roadmaps and integration with other specialized equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Excellent English writing and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to consult with clients, coordinate workshops, and build strong client relationships.
- Experience working with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to foster relationships and assist in identifying business opportunities and responding to RFPs.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in Security & Risk Management, MEP/ELV Engineering, or a related field.
- Membership in a security or design engineering institute.
- Relevant professional certification or progress towards professional accreditation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
