The ideal candidate should independently lead the QA process, guiding business users effectively while confidently making and justifying decisions. They must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and demonstrate innovative thinking to generate ideas as needed. Identifying project risks and issues is crucial, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Jira. The candidate should collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand user needs, review and analyze requirements, and create detailed test plans and strategies. They must design and document test cases, scripts, and scenarios, ensuring traceability to requirements. Executing various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT, is essential, as is reporting and tracking defects while working closely with developers to resolve issues. Setting up test environments, preparing test data, tracking quality metrics, and providing regular QA status reports are also key responsibilities. Finally, the candidate should participate in retrospectives, suggest process improvements, and contribute to QA best practices and knowledge sharing.
