Job Title: Private Cloud Architect

We are seeking a Private Cloud Architect to drive our cloud-native strategy and modernize our provisioning approach for compute resources. The role emphasizes automation, low maintenance, and the expansion of storage subsystem capabilities to meet diverse needs efficiently and reliably. You will ensure robust network security and governance within our Private Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement a cloud-native approach when feasible, with no immediate internal “SaaS” offerings anticipated.
Modernize provisioning for compute resources, focusing on elasticity, automation (infrastructure as code, API integration), and self-service capabilities.
Expand storage solutions to encompass file sharing, block storage, and object storage, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability.
Maintain effective network security models and governance, prioritizing automation in our Private Cloud.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with private cloud technologies and governance.
Familiarity with on-premises deployment challenges.
Knowledge of regulatory constraints within the finance industry.
Experience in Data Management and Analytics.

Technical Skills:

Compute: VMWare, Red Hat OpenShift 
Storage: NFS (applications), SAN and related technologies
Automation Tools: Ansible, Puppet
Networking: F5 BigIP, Palo Alto, Checkpoint

Location: 40% remote, 60% on-site

Documentation will be in English; preferred spoken languages are French or English.
