Linux DevOps Engineer (Medior/Senior)

Contract

We are seeking a skilled Atlassian Engineer / Linux DevOps Engineer to maintain and enhance the Atlassian toolset while supporting Linux DevOps activities. 

Responsibilities:

Atlassian Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support a Datacenter-based Atlassian setup (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Service Desk).
• Track versions, vulnerabilities, and updates for all Atlassian products and plan upgrades with minimal user impact.
• Manage licensing, monitor usage, and ensure timely renewals.
• Configure new Confluence spaces or Jira projects, implementing workflows as requested.
• Implement and maintain Jira plugins and integrations.
• Optimize user management (connectors in Crowd, LDAP integrations, etc.).
• Provide user support for Atlassian tools.

Linux DevOps Responsibilities:

• Perform standard Linux DevOps activities.
• Lead/support the containerization of applications using GitOps tools (Helm, Terraform).
• Assist in migrating services to the AWS cloud.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with teams to solve technical issues and maintain documentation.

Requirements:

Atlassian Experience:

• Proven experience with Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket configuration and customization.
• Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.

Linux DevOps Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL, Rocky, Oracle Linux 8/9).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Helm, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using GitOps, Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with AWS Cloud.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like New Relic.

 

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Dutch proficiency is a plus.
