Contract

Role Overview:

We are looking for two Data Engineers—a Medior and a Senior—to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidates will work on modern data platforms like Snowflake and tools like DBT and Wherescape RED to support our data warehouse initiatives, including the adoption of Data Vault 2.0 architecture.

Medior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL processes to migrate data from Oracle to Snowflake using DBT.
  • Develop cloud-based data solutions using tools like DBT for transformation.
  • Work with the Data Vault 2.0 framework to design scalable data warehouse solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for ETL workflows.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes and data pipelines.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Tools: DBT, Wherescape RED, Snowflake, Oracle, Azure Synapse.
  • Programming: SQL, Python, or similar modern programming languages.
  • Version Control: Proficient in Git for trunk-based development.
  • Testing: Experience with data integrity, performance, and regression testing.
  • Knowledge: Data Vault 2.0, modern data warehousing concepts (SCD1/2, dimensional modeling).

Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and improvement of ETL pipelines for large-scale cloud data migration projects.
  • Act as a quality gatekeeper for all data engineering initiatives, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Guide the adoption of DBT and Wherescape RED across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with business, data, and software architects to align data solutions with business needs.
  • Implement Data Vault 2.0 architecture, ensuring efficient, scalable data warehousing.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Tools: Advanced knowledge of DBT, Wherescape RED, and cloud platforms like Snowflake, Oracle, and Azure Synapse.
  • Programming: Proficient in Python or other modern programming languages.
  • Leadership: Ability to prioritize, mentor, and guide data engineers in their technical development.
  • Knowledge: Extensive experience in data modeling, Data Vault 2.0, and long-term impact analysis for projects.

Role Summary:

Both roles focus on creating efficient and scalable data pipelines using cloud technologies like Snowflake and DBT. While the Medior role is more focused on hands-on execution and project delivery, the Senior role requires leadership in guiding projects, mentoring teams, and aligning data solutions with business goals.
