Job Overview:
The Crypto Derivatives Risk Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring our product offerings in the crypto derivatives space remain competitive and secure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in risk management specifically related to crypto derivatives, particularly in designing and overseeing Crypto Futures Perpetuals. A comprehensive understanding of dynamic margins, funding rates, and associated risks is essential. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement robust risk management frameworks that protect the exchange and its users while enhancing our market position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Management Framework:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management strategies for crypto derivatives, focusing on Crypto Futures Perpetuals.
  • Monitor risks associated with dynamic margins, counterparty risk, and maintenance margins.
  • Ensure alignment of risk management processes with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Product Development Support:

  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate risk management into the product lifecycle.
  • Provide insights into structuring Crypto Futures Perpetuals to ensure competitive and secure offerings.
  • Analyze competitor products and identify opportunities for enhancement from a risk perspective.

• Risk Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish monitoring systems to assess and report on the exchange's risk exposure.
  • Develop key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics for proactive risk management.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management, highlighting exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, promoting continuous improvement and risk awareness.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team expertise in crypto derivatives risk management.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product, finance, and management teams to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, to ensure transparency and adherence to standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in risk management within the crypto derivatives market, focusing on Crypto Futures and Perpetuals.
• In-depth knowledge of dynamic margin risk and related financial concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex risk concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
• Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
