Our Client

A leading multinational company have a new opportunity for an AP Accountant to join their finance team based in Dubai, UAE.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintaining books of accounts and ensuring that accounting transactions are recorded in line with International Accounting Standards (IAS).
• Ownership of the Accounts Payable function.
• Processing invoices and expense claims, approving purchase orders to be entered into the accounting system.
• Working with various stakeholders to improve AP process, controls and analysis
• Preparation of payment to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and obtaining necessary approvals 
• Balance sheet reconciliations and postings including ageing reports.

Your Qualifications

• An Accounting or Finance degree 
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Experience working in multinational business dealing with multi-currencies
• Excellent communicator with confidence in interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders 
• SAP experience is advantageous
• Arabic speaker is advantageous, but not essential.
