A well-established company based in Dubai are looking for an Android Mobile Developer for a 12 month extendable contract. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Development: Create advanced Android apps with OTT features like video streaming and user engagement.
• Integration: Implement OTT-specific functions (DRM, adaptive streaming, video controls).
• Code Quality: Write clean code, conduct code reviews.
• Collaboration: Partner with designers, product managers, and backend teams to enhance user experience.
• Testing: Ensure quality through unit and integration tests, debug for streaming reliability.
• Optimization: Enhance app speed and user experience.
• Maintenance: Update existing apps with new features, focusing on OTT improvements.
• Documentation: Maintain technical specs and project notes.
• Mentorship: Support junior developers through guidance and training.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science.
• Experience: 5+ years in Android development.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  • Strong grasp of Android SDK, multi-version adaptability.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud messaging, and Git.
  • Familiar with Android libraries and third-party APIs.
• OTT Expertise:
  • Video streaming (HLS, DASH, RTMP).
  • DRM (e.g., Widevine, PlayReady).
  • Media frameworks like ExoPlayer.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, teamwork, multitasking, attention to detail.
