Our customer is one of the worlds leading Cyber Security vendors providing security products, solutions & services to protect businesses from advanced threats, malware, and other cyber attacks.Their Managed Security Services (MSS) provide 24 x 7 x 365 security monitoring and real-time security analytics, equipping clients with the strategic insights needed to prioritize and respond to the most critical incidents and build strategies to protect the assets, reputations and viability of their organizations.
In early 2016 our customer had won a multi-million dollar, five year Managed Security Service contract with a major airline based in Dubai. They were required to provide an onsite CSOC (Cyber Security Operation Center), which would be staffed by a team of L0-L3 security engineers. They would become an extension of the current security operation, providing best practice expertise and on-going skills transfer, eventually being integrated into the end user’s permanent headcount. As this was one of the most high profile projects they had been awarded in the region, showcasing its capabilities and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction were extremely important measures of success.
Due to headcount restrictions, our customer could only provide the Service Management and Principal Security Analyst resources from its regional team. They turned to Halian’s Resourcing Service to provide a sourcing solution that could identify the bulk of these scare resources on a “try before you hire” basis and then manage the transition across to the end user’s team. HR induction and immigration services as well as performance management.
Within seven days of the initial request, Halian had used its extensive global sourcing reach and pipelined security profiles to shortlist and technically screen 26 candidates. These candidates were interviewed in conjuncture with our customer and 13 L0-L3 security engineerswere selected to join the CSOC. Visa compliancy and relocation management was undertaken by Halian and once on board, a dedicated Halian HR Business Partner ensured all performance issued were monitored and remedial actions were taken to avoid unnecessary and costly attrition.
The team have successfully worked within the CSOC and are helping to combat over 300 daily cyber-attacks.The service achieves consistent high customer satisfaction ratings and is used by our customer as a reference site for other regional engagements. The transition of the team to the end users headcount is planned for mid-2019.
