A Brief Review of ’21 Before ‘22
As 2021 winds down and 2022 approaches, it’s time to reflect on a rewarding year and look ahead to a new one. The COVID pandemic has undoubtedly changed business. The organisations that adapted quickly and got the right people in the right positions not only persevered but prospered. Our commitment to excellence was recognised by our peers at the TIARA awards as we [won the IT & Digital Recruitment Company of the year](https://halian.com/article/halian-wins-the-it-and-digital-recruitment-company-of-the-year). The jury found that “Halian demonstrated impressive growth, emerging from the pandemic a stronger and more agile organisation.” We are so very proud of the entire Halian staff, and the award is recognition for all their hard work. In this space, we have taken a moment to spotlight teammates that present the power of possibility. Over the course of this year, we had a chance to have a conversation with [Ming Terry](https://halian.com/article/meet-ming-terry-a-team-leader-and-backup-and-storage-engineer-at-halian), [Mihai Blajust](https://halian.com/article/mihai-interview), and [Jonathan Nalasco](https://halian.com/article/meet-jonathan-nolasco), who represent our commitment to excellence. As a result of the rapid growth, our Dubai office expanded into a new office space in August. Also, in Dubai, we started our “Technically Speaking” initiative by sponsoring the inaugural DubOps event and organised ‘The Inception’ in September and the Re: Cyber meet up that brought together some of the largest technology companies in the region. We were honoured to join the Luxembourg ICT Chamber of Commerce delegation at EXPO 2020 and the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) in Dubai. This year, we announced the launch of Halian’s new Human Resource Information System – EmiratesHR. This platform provides a fully integrated management system. We also launched The Halian Training Academy. This project established a training structure that covers the entire spectrum of Halian’s recruitment lifecycle. These tools will enable us to work smarter, and they represent our commitment to continual improvement.
2022 Here We Come!
