Job Title: Senior Project Manager - SAP S/4HANA Finance

Contract Type: Initial 12 month contract

Job purpose:

Roles and Responsibilities


As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a combination of strong SAP technical knowledge, finance domain expertise, and leadership capabilities to navigate complex project landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation projects, from planning to go-live, ensuring that objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.

 

• Stakeholder Management: Engage with key business and IT stakeholders to align project goals, define requirements, and manage expectations.

 

• Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor project teams, including both internal and external resources, to ensure project success.

 

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

 

• Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring that the project is delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

 

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and best practices in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation.

 

• Change Management: Support the organization in managing change, including training, communication, and process adoption for end-users.

 

• Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality project deliverables through rigorous testing, validation, and ongoing improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
 

• SAP S/4HANA Experience: At least 2 end to end implementations hands-on experience in leading SAP S/4HANA Finance module implementations (including but not limited to modules such as SAP S/4HANA Finance, FICO, Treasury, and Controlling).
• Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to build and lead cross-functional teams.
• Financial Expertise: In-depth understanding of finance processes and practices, particularly in the context of SAP S/4HANA solutions.
• Change Management: Experience in driving change and adoption of new systems and processes within an organization.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Desirable Skills & Experience:
• Experience with Agile methodologies or hybrid approaches in project management.
• Exposure to international or multi-country SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience with other SAP modules or related enterprise solutions (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP BW/4HANA).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• PMP, Prince2, SCRUM Master or other relevant project management certifications are mandatory
