Job Title: PMO Lead

Location: Abu Dhabi on site

Our client: Leading IT consultancy

Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure the successful delivery of projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT consultancy, with proven expertise in managing project portfolios, driving project governance, and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the PMO function, providing strategic direction and oversight for all project management activities.
• Develop and implement PMO frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes to ensure project alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and manage project risks and issues.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Mentor and support project managers and teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices in project management.
• Drive the development of project management tools and techniques to enhance project delivery.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet expectations.

Education/Certification and Continued Education:
 

• Bachelors Degree
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) mandatory

Knowledge and skills:

• English & Arabic mandatory
• 10 years experience in PMO
• 4 years in a leadership role
• Developed & implemented a PMO from scratch
• Proven experience in a senior PMO role within an IT consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Jira / MS Projects
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
