A well established FMCG business in the Middle East have an exciting newly created opportunity for an Agronomist to join their team based in Baghdad, Iraq.

 

Your Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for providing expert advice and support in the management of crop production, soil health, and agricultural practices.
• Develop and implement crop management strategies to optimize yields and improve quality. Provide recommendations on crop selection, rotation, and fertilization.
• Prepare feasibility studies of different crops and present these studies to the board. Stay up to date with market trends and developments in relation to crop economics, supply and demand dynamics and food security programs in the region.
• Stay up to date with the latest agricultural research and technologies. Conduct experiments and trials to evaluate new practices, products, and technologies
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agricultural sector. Develop and implement strategies to expand market share and achieve sales targets.
• Promote and demonstrate the benefits of our agricultural products and services to clients. Provide technical expertise and support to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

 

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related field (master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in a commercial agronomy role or related sales position within the agricultural industry.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
