Luxembourg ranks top for highly-skilled employment

According to the World Economic Forum and International Labour Organisation statistics, Luxembourg has the world's highest share of people in highly-skilled employment.

Despite Luxembourg being one of the smallest sovereign states in Europe, both by population and size, more than half (59%) of the workforce is employed in occupations that are deemed 'highly-skilled' (i.e., require a University degree or equivalent). This is largely due to Luxembourg's prominent services sector, which is increasingly dependent on a digital marketplace and highly IT-literate workforce.

Since Halian first began operations in Luxembourg in 2002, we have seen more than a 40% increase in jobs in the local ICT sector. We have generated work opportunities for local IT staff and invested consistently in technical training and business development over all these years.

We can certainly be proud of our small part in Luxembourg's continuing success story.
