Halian are delighted to be a part of the newest Crown Commercial Service framework, "Digital Outcomes and Specialists".
The CCS introduced frameworks on the Digital Marketplace as a way to save public sector organisations and suppliers the time and cost traditionally associated with individual procurement contracts. The most recent framework, "Digital Outcomes and Specialists", was one of the most difficult to create, as they needed a way to simplify and regulate supplier offerings as well as the buyers' searches. Through a long period of testing and research, they created their Design Principles, which are in addition to their original 7 digital principles.
- Start with user needs
- Do less
- Design with data
- Do the hard work to make it simple
- Iterate. Then iterate again.
- This is for everyone
- Understand context
- Build digital services, not websites
- Be consistent, not uniform
- Make things open; it makes things better.
These Principles will vastly improve the user experience, both for the suppliers and the buyers. After an extensive application and consideration process, 1,261 suppliers were awarded spots on the framework, including Halian.
Of those 1,261 suppliers, 92% are SMEs, which marks an exciting shift in the advancement of smaller businesses, and Halian are thrilled to be amongst that esteemed group.
On a wider scale, the Digital Marketplace continues to go from strength to strength, not only enabling SMEs to reach a wider audience, but also supporting public sector businesses and encouraging responsible and cost-effective procurement.
